Who Does the "Rebuilding of America's Infrastructure" Include

“Rebuilding our infrastructure and communities” The problem is we are seldom the owners, developers, contractor builders, or high-wage workers"

— Wendell Stemley, NAMC President

WASHINGTON DC, WASHINGTON DC, USA, November 30, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — “Rebuilding our infrastructure and communities” is an often-used phrase that is oversimplified. There will always be rebuilding of infrastructure and minority communities. The problem is we are seldom the owners, developers, contractor builders, or high-wage workers. We need to be partners in ownership, development, building, operators, and employers of the local community workforce in a process where public and private Fortune 500 companies continue to build successful, quality projects while allowing diversity to be an integral part of the planning and execution of that success.

NAMC is concerned that we are losing a generation of minority youth because of neglect and indifference. We can no longer ignore the obvious: African-American males 18-35 have the highest unemployment rate in America. Other minority groups, women, veterans, and disabled veterans have also seen similar disparity. To that end, Minority Jobs Matter also.

The number of minorities and minority communities who are being left out of the rebuilding of America’s infrastructure is daunting. For state agencies to award billions of dollars of work annually and certain minority groups only receive less than one percent of those dollars is unacceptable. Ironically, these minority groups are not left out of paying the 18 cent per gallon federal sales tax to fund the U.S. Department of Transportation's highway program.

NAMC's efforts are timely, given passage of the recent Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act in December 2015. The FAST Act authorizes the program at $4.5 billion for fiscal years 2016 through 2020, including $850 million for FY 2017 to be awarded by the Secretary of Transportation. The grants, totaling nearly $800 million, will be combined with other funding from federal, state, local, and private sources to support $3.6 billion in infrastructure investment in 15 states and the District of Columbia. The legislation authorizes over $300 billion in funding transportation projects over the next five years, which potentially presents opportunities for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms. The new legislation also addresses a long-standing issue in the DBE community by requiring the U.S. Department of Transportation to undertake measures to ensure prompt payment to DBEs. President Trump has stated that he plans to add a trillion dollars of public and private infrastructure spending to rebuilding America.

Citizens must be involved with local representatives, such as mayors and city council members, as well as state and congressional representatives, to ensure that the needs of their communities are included in the appropriations to rebuild America’s infrastructure. NAMC urges you to ask government representatives how rebuilding is going to work for and benefit small business, local communities, and mandatory participation requirements.

Please understand — this is your money. Every time you go to the gas station, you help fund the transportation bill. We all pay the 18 cent federal gas tax, so all of us should have the right to equal services.

The NAMC 2016 Congressional Breakfast was held on Capitol Hill on September 15, 2016 at the Rayburn House Office Building. Representatives who attended the breakfast and addressed NAMC’s issues and concerns were Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA); who spoke about the need for small business banking reform; Rep. Hank C. Johnson, Jr. (D-GA), who addressed government contracting with respect to rebuilding the infrastructure; Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA), debt ceiling and its impact on small businesses; and Rick Allen (R-GA), a former construction company owner, who acknowledged the lack of loan options for small contractors in the industry. NAMC long-time supporters Congresswoman Alma Adams (D-NC) and Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) also weighed in on the issue of minority contracting. Other congressional representatives also voiced their support for the DBE program.

On Friday, September 16, Wendell Stemley, NAMC President, was invited to host Breaking the Color Barrier in Military Contracting, a panel sponsored by Congressman Hank C. Johnson, Jr. at the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. The panel consisted of various government and industry representatives who assembled to provide an opportunity for minority- and women-owned small businesses to learn how to navigate the procurement process and market their businesses in the lucrative arena of defense contracts.

Small business participation options along with NAMC recommendations included
better tracking of both prime and subcontractor flow down requirements for small businesses and minority participation. We also recommend that Federal agencies offer “FAST PAY” to small business contractors.

NAMC also suggested small businesses support Congresswoman Nydia Velasquez’s call for stronger compliance and oversight of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Small Business program within federal contracting and Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici’s bill, H.R. 3175, to increase the government-wide procurement goals for small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and HUBZONE (historically underutilized business zone) small businesses. Congressional support is needed for legislative bills.

All Eyes on OPEC, For the Last Time?

Sun rises near a pump jack in the California desert.

OPEC has long been perceived as the single market balancer, but their influence is increasingly tempered by other forces – Trumponomics & demand from Asia.

OPEC has taken the price cuts on the chin.

— Dan K. Eberhart

HOUSTON, TX, USA, November 30, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — When OPEC members, led by Saudi Arabia, decided in 2014 to keep oil production high despite a global glut, it sent prices into a tailspin. It’s widely thought the move was intended more than anything to drive as many U.S. shale producers as possible out of business.

But the surprise was on OPEC: while American oil and gas companies have sweated out the past two years, cutting jobs and idling rigs – with a few firms leaving the market entirely — for the most part, they have proven to be exceptionally resilient. The same spirit of innovation that led to fracking – the technique that opened the shale plays to development in the first place – helped domestic producers shave costs and improve per-rig productivity. Those achievements are reflected in numbers from the U.S. Energy Department, which suggest that in 2017 domestic crude output will reach 8.7 million barrels a day in 2017, some 100,000 barrels a day higher than the previous estimate.

Oilfield service company Canary's CEO Dan K. Eberhart said, “OPEC, on the other hand, has taken the price cuts on the chin. Saudi Arabia has lost billions of dollars in revenue, and other members – most notably Venezuela, Iraq, and Nigeria – have encountered staggering budget issues.” Eberhart continued, “By their own reckoning, as reported in the OPEC Annual Statistical Bulletin, the member nations’ combined GDP is at a five-year low, dropping from $4.35 trillion in 2015 to $3.90 trillion this year.”

To stanch the bleeding, at their November 30 meeting in Vienna, OPEC members finally achieved consensus about a production cut that should prop up crude prices and restore a semblance of financial health to national coffers.

No longer a single market balancer

The headline about an OPEC production cut – 1.2 million barrels per day, more than most expected but still less than the 1.5 million barrel target that some nations pushed for – sent oil futures prices up 7 percent in the first hour after the news broke.

While so-called "Trumponomics” have yet to fully play out, President-Elect Trump has said that he wants America to be energy self-sufficient, explaining that America has been “held hostage by OPEC.”

OPEC has long been perceived as the single market balancer, but their influence is increasingly tempered by other forces – perhaps most strikingly by demand from Asia.

That region is OPEC’s biggest customer, and importers have said they won’t tolerate price increases related to what they view as supply being artificially suppressed. Instead, they plan to buy more oil from non-OPEC countries.

Since 2005, China has accounted for 46 percent of global oil demand growth. The International Energy Administration (IEA) estimates that China receives about 700,000 barrels of oil per day, effectively soaking up a lot of the excess that has been keeping prices low. However, China isn’t actively using the oil today; instead, it is going into storage in the country’s strategic petroleum reserve (SPR) where it is being stockpiled against a future crisis. So while that does take oil off the market now, it’s not a signal of continuing demand growth. Outside of its SPR, in fact, China’s demand growth is expected to be just 259,000 barrels per day, despite the fact that the nation’s energy-hungry middle class is booming.

But with oil prices on the rise after the OPEC decision, China may decide that rather than pay more for imports, it will begin drawing down from its reserves, which amount to an estimated 600 million barrels. And although China’s own oil production has fallen off considerably in recent years, the nation may ramp back up and begin exporting oil itself to take advantage of rising prices.

With all eyes on OPEC, it’s important to remember that they don’t wield complete control of the market.

Thomas L. Friedman Discusses How to Live in the 21st Century

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Thomas L. Friedman to speak at Breakfast Forum

In his most ambitious work to date, Thomas L. Friedman’s newest book is a field guide to this century.

Pulitzer Prize-Winning Writer Talks about Accelerated Culture at Downtown L.A. Author Event

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, November 28, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — Thomas L. Friedman, three-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for his work with The New York Times and the author of six bestselling books, including The World Is Flat, will talk about his new book Thank You for Being Late: Finding a Job, Running a Country, and Keeping Your Head in an Age of Accelerations during a Live Talks Los Angeles breakfast forum on Friday, December 9, 2016 in downtown Los Angeles.

Thank You for Being Late (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, November 22, 2016) is a field guide to the 21st century, written by one of its most celebrated observers. In his most ambitious work to date, Friedman shows that we have entered an age of dizzying acceleration – and explains how to live in it. Due to an exponential increase in computing power, climbers atop Mount Everest enjoy excellent cell-phone service and self-driving cars are taking to the roads. A parallel explosion of economic interdependency has created new riches as well as spiraling debt burdens. Meanwhile, Mother Nature is also seeing dramatic changes as carbon levels rise and species go extinct, with compounding results.

How do these changes interact, and how can we cope with them? To get a better purchase on the present, Friedman returns to his Minnesota childhood and sketches a world where politics worked and joining the middle class was an achievable goal. Today, by contrast, it is easier than ever to be a maker (try 3-D printing) or a breaker (the Islamic State excels at using Twitter), but harder than ever to be a leader or merely “average.” Friedman concludes that nations and individuals must learn to be fast (innovative and quick to adapt), fair (prepared to help the casualties of change), and slow (adept at shutting out the noise and accessing their deepest values). With vision, authority, and wit, Thank You for Being Late establishes a blueprint for how to think about our times.

Event Details
Tickets can be purchased at livetalksla.org and range from $50-$65. Each purchase includes a copy of Thank You for Being Late and continental breakfast. Breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:15am and the program runs from 8:15-9:15am. For more information, contact info@livetalksla.org. Location for this event is Gensler, 500 S. De La Fuente Files for Recount in Nevada

FT. LAUDERDALE , FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, November 30, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — FT. LAUDERDALE, Florida, November 30, 2016 – After withdrawing his presidential recount petition in Wisconsin, “Rocky” Roque De La Fuente almost immediately filed for a recount in Nevada. De La Fuente was the first to file for a recount in Wisconsin but withdrew his petition when Jill Stein duplicated his effort and the estimated cost of the recount soared to more than $3.5 million. He has already posted payment for the recount in Nevada.

“I’ve made this decision for a number of reasons,” said De La Fuente. “First, Wisconsin obviously made a recount cost-prohibitive for a citizen with standing. Jill (Stein) was able to tap into a Democratic base of donors to raise more than $6.2 million in just a few days, so she can afford to pursue the issue there.”

He continued, “I think she (Stein) drew Democratic support because she also named Pennsylvania and Michigan as states she would target for recounts. If all three states flipped, Hillary Clinton would become the President-elect.”

Then, he distinguished his effort: “I’m only interested in validating the election and exposing the vulnerabilities I believe exist in our current system. I’m not trying to change the results. If that happens, so be it, but I’m not trying to force it. ”

De La Fuente says he picked Nevada to balance out the recount and force the media to focus on the need for substantive reform to maintain the integrity of the Nation’s elections. In De La Fuente’s opinion, there are a lot of similarities between the Nevada and Wisconsin scenarios except for who won.

“Hillary (Clinton) won Nevada by a narrow margin almost identical to that of President-elect Trump’s in Wisconsin,” said De La Fuente. “Why not audit Nevada’s results as well?”

He added, “I experienced some a considerable amount of unfair treatment during the Nevada Democratic Caucus. And who doesn’t remember the near-violent confrontation there between the Clinton and Sanders camps with respect to the assignment of delegates?”

De La Fuente noted, “Jill didn’t qualify to be on the ballot in Nevada, so she can’t petition for a recount there even if she wanted to whereas I can.” De La Fuente is correct. While the Green Party failed to qualify on the ballot for the General Election in Nevada, De La Fuente made the ballot as the nominee of the American Delta Party. He also was the nominee of the Reform Party and ran as an independent in other states.

De La Fuente said he may file for recounts in one or more additional states but emphasized that he will only do so on a non-partisan basis. “This is about election integrity. It isn’t about favoring one party or candidate over another,” said De La Fuente. “We need to expose the problems and fix them.”

De La Fuente allegedly suffered election fraud in both the Democratic Presidential Primary and the General Election. “We have screenshots of my vote totals going down in a variety of states as more counties reported, which obviously should not be possible. Coupled with the other forms of election manipulation I experienced, I committed myself to exposing the problems and pushing for solutions,” he added.

When asked about the cost of the recounts, De La Fuente acknowledged that it is significant. “While I’ve been blessed to have enjoyed success in the private sector, I’m not a nearly as wealthy as Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump,” De La Fuente commented. “I hope citizens of every political persuasion will consider election integrity important enough to donate the equivalent of a Starbucks or two to help defray the cost. After all, what I’m really trying to do is make sure that each citizen’s vote goes to the candidate for whom it’s cast.”

Contributions in support of De La Fuente’s election reform initiative can be made on the donation page of his website.

“Rocky” Roque De La Fuente is living proof that the American Dream can be achieved by those who are inspired to pursue it. He has an amazing record of overcoming obstacles and achieving success. UK Glamour Girl launches a charity calendar in aid of Veterans

Luna, a commercial and glamour model has launched her first calendar with proceeds going to ex-servicemen and women.

BEDFORD, BEDFORDSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM, November 30, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ —
The UK is home to over 3 million ex-servicemen and women. Of which over 75,000 have been effected by the most recent wars in the Middle East. Funds from the calendar sales will be donated to Jobs for Homeless Soldiers (http://j4hs.com) a not for profit group, hoping to provide training in the security industry, and resettlement, for homeless and vulnerable ex-forces personnel.

Luna, who has been published in Nuts, Bizarre and the Daily Star has put her talents to good use, she says: ‘ex-servicemen and women can suffer physical disabilities, mental health issues, post-traumatic stress disorder and homelessness. The coolest (and weirdest) watches from this year’s Salon QP

LONDON, UK, November 29, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — Haute horology isn’t often discussed at on worn&wound. But once a year, Salon QP – #London’s three-day #watch extravaganza – offers an opportunity to geek out over some of the more esoteric offerings in the watch world.

For 2016, London’s own Brad Homes—a known contributor and moderator on Watchuseek—was tapped to gives us his take on what stood out at this year’s show. Enjoy!

Once again, many famous names in watchmaking and independent visionaries braved London’s November drizzle to wow the crowds at the Saatchi Gallery with a range of watches that intrigue, excite, inspire, or simply provoke. Due to the large number of magnificent watches on display and the limited number of hours in a day, it was impossible to dedicate as much time to each watch as they richly deserve. Fortunately, attention is often drawn to the more unusual or innovative timepieces.

Urwerk – Time Hunter X-Ray

Always a crowd-pleaser, Urwerk presented the Time Hunter X-Ray, the latest in a long line of unorthodox watches from the brand. Based on their EMC concept of a mechanical watch coupled with a hand-cranked electronic sensor over the balance to monitor beat rate and amplitude, this latest incarnation gets the full Urwerk treatment with a black PVD titanium case and a skeletonized dial. Measuring and adjusting accuracy on the go is surely an appealing feature and manually winding the sensor brings about a child-like joy, but one will need to get comfortable with the 43mm wide x 51mm case and 125,000 CHF price tag for the privilege.

Rebellion – Prometheus

The combination of titanium case and lever to operate is something also shared by Rebellion with their striking Prometheus. The contrast of the angular and muted grey titanium case against the three-dimensional movement and time display in black and orange is bold, with a direct read of the hour and minute wheels beneath a huge sapphire crystal. The hour and minute wheels rotate in different directions and are driven by a mechanical chain transmission visible through the case sides. The lever that rises dramatically from the case is used to wind the six mainspring barrels and delivers an insane 1,000 hours of power reserve. For such a mean looking machine it is incredibly light and it would have been easy to walk away without realizing it was still on the wrist.

4N – MTV-01 Sapphire Planet

Black and orange must be this season’s colors as 4N presented their latest MTV-01 Sapphire Planet. The watch features a case made entirely from sapphire, meaning that all 10 discs used for the digital time display are always visible, as is the 78-jewel twin-barrel movement. Although sapphire crystals are commonplace, full sapphire cases are fairly rare due to the difficulty in working with the material. 4N joins the likes of Hublot, Richard Mille and MB&F with this offering. Nothing about the 4N Sapphire Planet is timid, including the size, and rightly so.

Ludovic Ballouard – the Upside Down Watch and the Half Time

Ludovic Ballouard’s approach to telling the time in an unusual way is done so with a more conventional case size, style and materials. To the unaware or uninterested, these are watches that could fly under the radar, but anything more than a cursory glance at the dial or movement reveals something special. The Upside Down Watch uses 12 discs, one for each hour, which rotate so that only the current hour is displayed the right way up. Ballouard’s latest piece, the Half Time, takes the jumping hour concept a step further by using two discs around the outer edge of the dial–each containing half of a Roman numeral, and rotating in opposite directions. The correct hour appears in the window at the top of the dial and is the only hour around the dial that is not mismatched and broken. The watch also features retrograde minutes at the bottom of the dial leaving a strangely pleasing blank expanse in the center.

Vacheron Constantin – Métiers d’Art Elégance Sartoriale

Moving on to something more traditionally elegant, the Métiers d’Art Elégance Sartoriale series from Vacheron Constantin are quite possibly the prettiest modern dress watches available. The Calibre 1400 hand-wind movement seen through the display back is placed off-center and creates a large playground for the tailoring inspired patterns.

The Blue Tartan from Vacheron Constantin’s Métiers d’Art Elégance Sartoriale series

Each dial is hand-guilloched and coated in translucent enamel, while the Roman numerals are hand painted onto a mother of pearl hour track. Also featured in the series are Prince of Wales Check, Herringbone, Windowpane and Tennis Stripes. Any one of the five could be a perfect match worn under a suit and choosing a favorite is terribly difficult, but collecting the whole set at $54,000 each might be a stretch.

Moritz Grossmann – Benu Power Reserve

Moritz Grossmann’s Benu line contains three variations of a beautiful, classically styled watch in keeping with many others from the town of Glashütte. A three-hander with a small seconds sub-dial and a three-minute flying tourbillon are two of the trio, but the best is possibly the introduction of a linear power reserve scale onto the simple and clean dial which adds functionality without becoming a blemish.

The in-house 100.2 movement deserves some extra attention. It features an unusual mechanism to avoid the crown being left open for longer than necessary. The crown pulls away from the case to stop the seconds in the usual way, but then springs back into the case. After setting the time, the pusher below the crown will start the seconds running again. The Benu is available in rose gold, white gold or

MB&F Horological Machine “Sherman”

Now let’s marvel over the latest MB&F Horological Machine. This year’s invention – Sherman – is on hand to send one off into the night with a smile on his/her face knowing that the world of watchmaking has a very playful, friendly core.

There are plenty of places to see luxury watches in London, but not many opportunities to see watchmaking as an art, as an extravagance, and to speak to the people behind the creations. It’s also refreshing to spend a day among fine watches and come home without adding any watches to a realistic wish list… except possibly a Junghans. And a Christopher Ward. And maybe a Nomos.

For those who are UK-based or UK-bound, put a placeholder on the calendar for next year. Salon QP is a blast.

Sri Lankan President insults President Elect Trump by Asking him to drop war crimes charges – Tamils for Trump

NEW YORK, USA, November 30, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ —

Sri Lankan President Sirisena Insults the President-Elect Trump by Asking him to drop the horrifying war crimes charges: Tamils for Trump

Last Sunday, AFP reported the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has asked US President-elect Donald Trump to pressure the UN Human Rights Council to drop war crimes allegations against the Sri Lankan army.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala asking President-elect Donald Trump to drop the Sri Lankan horrendous war crime allegations is an insult to President-Elect Donald Trump.

A Tamil for Trump spokesman said that the “Sri Lankan President Maithripala is not only insulting the US presidency, it also insults the our moral fabric of American society who voted for Donald Trump and American democratic institutions.

"President-elect Donald Trump is against any crime including rape, killings, abductions, drug trafficking, terrorism and state terrorism. Mr. Trump stated this clearly during his campaign speeches several times. There is no difference between him and the American people in regards to views on international crimes that have to be punished.

"According to The International Policy Digest, the Sri Lankan army killed over 145,000 innocent Tamil victims, raped thousands of Tamil women, made 90,000 Tamil widows and created 50,000 orphans during the end of the ethnic war in the traditional Tamil heartlands in the northeast of Sri Lanka in 2009."

“The Sri Lankan president exposed him against the war crimes investigation as asking Mr. Trump to drop the Sri Lankan war crimes would confirm that he would not ever try to find justice for the Tamil victims.

"It is now been proved to the world that it was a mistake to believe that the Sri Lankan president will offer justice to Tamils.

“March 2017 is the right time for international community, with the help of President Trump, to refer the horrendous Sri Lankan war crimes to International Criminal Court through the UN security council."

About the Tamils for Trump

Tamils for Trump is a political activist group comprised of Americans; the majority are Tamil Americans. They believe that over 145,000 Tamil civilians living in Sri Lanka were massacred during the last weeks of the Sri Lankan ethnic war. They have also observed post war behaviors of the Sri Lankan Sinhalese victors, and concluded that Tamils in Sri Lanka will only be safe when this war torn island is divided into two individual self-governing nations.

It is of interest to note that, according to UN Internal Review Report on Sri Lanka, around 70,000 Tamil civilians may have been massacred in the last six months of the ethnic war. Also, Rt. Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph, the Catholic Bishop of Mannar in Sri Lanka, gave a presentation to the Sri Lankan Lessons Learnt & Reconciliation.

De La Fuente Withdraws Wisconsin Petition but Will File Others

A statewide recount in Wisconsin is cost prohibitive…

— Rocky De La Fuente

FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, November 29, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — FT. LAUDERDALE, Florida, November 29, 2016 – “Rocky” Roque De La Fuente, who actually was the first presidential candidate to file a recount petition in Wisconsin, has withdrawn his petition in that state. However, he has expressed his intentions to file elsewhere.

“A statewide recount in Wisconsin is cost prohibitive,” said De La Fuente. “I do not want to favor one candidate over another. My only interest is to create a nationwide awareness of the vulnerability of our election system and to do everything possible to assure that your vote counts for the candidate for whom it is cast.”

The cost of De La Fuente’s participation in the Wisconsin recount would have been half of the $3.5 million fee the state required. Now, Jill Stein will need to shoulder that entire amount if she is to continue her recount initiative in that state. Her team has already raised more than $6.2 million for that recount and the ones she plans to conduct in Michigan and Pennsylvania in just a few days, which is more money than she raised during her entire presidential campaign.

The Clinton camp has also joined in on those recount initiatives. That is one of the reasons that De La Fuente says he feels the need to distance himself from the Wisconsin recount.

“I’m not a big fan of President-elect Trump, but I also ran against Hillary in the Democratic primary,” said De La Fuente. “In my opinion, the recount should be done to validate the election or expose the need for substantive election reform. It shouldn’t favor one candidate over another.”

When asked how that might be accomplished, De La Fuente indicated that he intended to file for limited recounts in Nevada and Florida; pointing out that Clinton won in Nevada and Trump won in Florida. “It’s not about flipping a state and changing the results. It’s about making sure that every vote counts as it’s cast,” said De La Fuente.

De La Fuente noted that he has standing in Nevada whereas Stein does not. “Jill wasn’t ballot qualified in Nevada, whereas I was. So, she can carry the burden in Wisconsin and the other states in which she has an interest, and I’ll add two more to the mix,” said De La Fuente.

He indicated that Nevada and Florida are of particular interest to him because of their past histories. “Florida has been at the epicenter of questionable elections in the past, and I personally experienced manipulative behavior in the Nevada caucus during the Democratic primary season,” explained De La Fuente.

De La Fuente ran in the Democratic presidential primary and established the highest vote count of any Hispanic American running for that office in that party’s history. He then ran as an independent and as the nominee of both the Reform Party and the American Delta Party in an effort to champion election reform. De La Fuente has pursued lawsuits across the country to lower ballot access thresholds to reasonable levels and to preserve ballot images in counties in which electronic voting is used. The latter is to have the images declared to be “public record” and force them to be preserved so that they can be used to validate elections similar to how paper ballots are used.

He also created a banking network in 1982 to help address an economic crisis in Mexico and established impressive real estate holdings throughout the United States while generating thousands of new jobs along the way. Are you looking for a unique Christmas gift for your significant other? Does he/she have a passion for hands-on hobbies, DIY projects, or repairing cars?

So the time to act is now if you want to order a custom tool bench to be delivered in time for Christmas.

Don’t wait.

— Formaspace

AUSTIN, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, November 14, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ — Now is this the time to order the perfect Christmas gift for your significant other. If you have a loved one with a passion for hands-on hobbies, don’t look any further. We have the perfect gift suggestion for you.

With the holiday season approaching, it’s time to remember that old saying, “it’s better to give than to receive.”

We suggest taking this suggestion one step further: “It’s better to give something they’ll really, really like — a gift that will truly last a lifetime.”

For some, the perfect gift that lasts a lifetime might be diamonds.

But we have a much better suggestion for the garage tinkerers who love nothing more than spending their spare time working on their hobbies, do-it-yourself projects, motorcycles, and classic cars — now is the time to order a one-of-a-kind tool bench, custom-made by Formaspace.

It’s true; these tool benches are such high quality you’ll consider getting yourself one that is designed to your specific taste.

Formaspace Custom Tool Benches: The Ultimate Bragging Right

Industrial Tool BenchIf you’ve ever watched the long-running television series Man Caves (former Formaspace client) on the DIY Network you know, there’s a little bit of one-upmanship and bragging rights that come from having the very best.

And that’s what Formaspace tool benches offer – they are top of the line.

Want proof? Take Amazon.com for example. Amazon has a gazillion products for sale, yet Amazon chooses Formaspace benches for their own employees. The same is true for Google, Dell, and many other leading Fortune 500 companies. They know quality so they continually choose Formaspace tool benches.

Why? We’ve been building them since 1981, so we know how to build tough, professional products. For example, our tool benches have exceptionally strong frames that are hand-welded together using durable 16-gauge steel, made in America, then powder-coated in your preferred color. This tough foundation makes our benches really strong— you can load up to 1,000 pounds on our tool benches — or even more weight if you select our extra heavy-duty benches made from 11-gauge steel.

Our products offer a level of professionalism, longevity, and an added measure of safety you won’t get from low-quality, imported furniture that you have to bolt together yourself out of questionable mystery metal.

Formaspace tool benches are shipped to you fully assembled, direct from our factory in Austin, and we stand behind our tool benches with a 12-year, full-coverage guarantee: the best warranty in the furniture industry.

High-Performance Formaspace Tool Benches Can Help You Be More Creative at Home and Work
Need more justification?

In today’s busy world, most of us are finding it increasingly difficult to decompress from the stress of work — and all the other demands on our time.

We know it’s critical to our health and well-being to reduce daily stress, but the question is how to go about it.

The answer: you should pursue creative activities and do-it-yourself projects outside of work. Choose an activity that will release your mind from deadlines, drama, and life’s frustrations.

According to findings of a study published in the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, creative activities (like hobbies and DIY projects) really do help us relax and decompress the stress that builds up at work. And there is more: researchers found that those employees who had a creative outlet at home performed better in their jobs at work.

So indulge hobbies because these activities improve your wellbeing and can help you advance your career.

How to Get the Perfect Tool Bench, Built to Specification
When it comes to ordering products, are you the type who wants to investigate all the options yourself? If so, we’ve got you covered. Check out our extensive online documentation which outlines all the specifications and options for our complete line of tool benches.

Or, would you rather speak to one of our professional Design Consultants who can help design the perfect bench just for you? That’s easy too. Just fill out the form below or call us at 800-251-1505 to speak directly with one of our Design Consultants.

Either way, here are some of the things to consider when ordering the perfect tool bench:

Choose a Heavy-Duty Work Surface

Do you like the warm, timeless look of hardwood? We offer strong, long-lasting solid maple wood bench tops that will provide years of service. Thanks to their generous thickness they can be refinished after years of use if you want to restore them to a brand-new condition (though most people prefer the patina of a well-worn wood work surface.)

Or perhaps, you would prefer a powder-coated steel work surface instead. We offer these heavy-duty work surfaces in a variety of standard colors, or we can match a custom color of your choice.

Specify Tool and Equipment Storage

As those tidy Germans say, “Ordnung muss sein,” which means there must be order — in other words: A place for everything and everything in its place.

Here is where you can start customizing your tool bench for specific needs.

Choose upper and lower cabinets for your bench. Then add optional drawers to the cabinets, with customized foam tool cut-out inserts that match your own set of tools, for an exact fit. You won’t believe how this simple detail will help you keep things organized.

Tool PegboardNeed more space for your tools and materials? Why not hang them on custom tool pegboards which can be mounted on the back of your tool bench?

What about storage for small parts and materials like screws and nuts? Louvered wall sections which hold small bins will keep all these pieces organized and easy to find.

Workbench with Metal Tool DrawersHow about storing raw materials and larger tools? Consider adding custom storage. You can order them for the upper section of your tool bench, with your choice of horizontal shelves, angled shelves, upper cabinets or cubbies.

Have more things to store?

Add an entire matching storage system that complements the design of your tool bench. Formaspace is the expert in building custom storage solutions for laboratories, manufacturing facilities and more. Our industrial-strength racking systems can be kitted out with horizontal or angled shelves, as well as built-in storage bins, locking doors and more. Speak to your Formaspace Design Consultant to discover what’s possible.

Take Advantage of Movable Furniture Options

Mobility in the workshop is not just for smartphones.

Did you know that you can raise or lower the height of your Formaspace tool bench with a touch of a button? This ergonomic option allows you to easily change positions throughout the day — for example, you can lower the work surface to allow you to sit down at a comfortable level for more detailed work, then raise the work surface again when it’s time to work from a standing position. TIP: changing positions like this throughout the day is a great way to help reduce backache.

You may also want to add locking casters to the base of your tool bench to make it easy to move around.

You can also order separate, free-standing mobile carts to compliment your new tool bench. Use mobile carts to transport heavier items, such as large parts, right to where you need them.

Customize with the Right Accessories

Finally, you can customize your tool bench with the right accessories.

For example, you’ll be less fatigued when working if you have proper lighting. We offer several options for lighting – built right into your tool bench.

ESD Monitoring Proof of ConceptYou’ll probably also want to consider ways to manage power for your tools. Add optional power strips incorporated directly into your tool bench for convenient access to power. We also offer accessories to keep your power cables organized.

If you work with electronics, we also offer ESD grounding kits, which will help prevent accidental static electrical discharges that can ruin micro-electronics.

We also offer customized solutions, such as such as tool balancers and air hose retractors, which can act like a third set of hands to help support heavier tools and unwieldy hoses, plus keep them out of the way when not needed.
