„Morgenlatten – Gefährten der Maturität“

Ein Buch wie eine Rakete

Autor

Rudolf F. Thomas

(Verlag tredition GmbH Hamburg)

His collection – with fresh-to-the-market additions – features country store advertising, petroliana, vintage toys and premium nostalgia. The sale will be packed with general store signs, gas and oil signs, coin-ops, radios, cars and motorcycles and rare nostalgia.

“Collectors will marvel at the quantity of quality,” remarked Justin Miller of Miller & Miller Auctions, Ltd. “McNabb’s collection has a ‘made-in-Canada’ emphasis, filled with seldom seen vintage advertising signs, including some early signs that were acquired from the Kay Beverage bottling plant in his hometown of Sudbury, Ontario. We’re proud to offer it.”

The En-Ar-Co Motor Oil rack is among the finest examples known and comes with two wire bottle carriers and sixteen En-Ar-Co bottles. The rack carries an estimate of $15,000-$18,000 (all prices quoted are in Canadian dollars).

The 1989 Rolls Royce Silver Spur comes from the estate of esteemed organist Dr Wayne Carroll of London, Ontario. It passed its safety inspection in August 2018 and is expected to sell for $12,000-$15,000.

The 1967 English-made 650cc Triumph TR6R Trophy Sportmotorcycle includes the original seat, parts, accessories and literature. The excellent original chrome shows no pitting or corrosion, and the show quality paint is enhanced with pinstripe customization. Some parts have been replaced with genuine Triumph parts. The estate bike is expected to roar away for $4,000-$6,000.

Savage Enterprises Positions Itself As Leader Of Hemp

Savage Enterprises Positions Itself as leader of hemp

IRVINE, CA, USA, March 26, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Savage Enterprises’ backing of Hemp products coincides with the anticipated signing of the 2018 Farm Bill which contains provisions for legalizing industrial hemp. Removal of industrial hemp as a designated controlled substance would legalize the crop under federal law if grown by a licensed grower in compliance with state and federal regulations. With wide bipartisan support, President Trump is expected to sign the historic new Farm Bill into law before year-end. See https://brook.gs/2EtMykJ

Having originally entered the vaping marketplace to help people stop smoking, Savage quickly recognized the value of after it has been shown in small studies to alleviate nausea, insomnia, muscle pain, and post-traumatic stress syndrome. CBD is also the active ingredient in a seizure medication recently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

According to Savage CEO Chris Wheeler, “Hemp may be flying under the radar for the mainstream consumer right now, but we have seen massive growth over the last few months and we expect huge growth as it spreads into health stores and international markets. That’s why we’re excited about our full spectrum of hemp extract products like capsules, tinctures, infused edibles, lotions, salves, vape oils, and pre-filled vape cartridges, all of which come in a variety of size formats and flavors.”

Because Savage has positioned itself so strongly in the hemp market back in late 2015, leaders from other industries are coming to them to manufacturer their hemp infused products. Savage is also very recognizable as it is in most major distribution channels in the vape and tobacco space. Savage is quickly becoming the go to company for all hemp products.

All Savage Hemp products have a certificate of analysis from SC labs whose team of chemists, microbiologists, and quality control experts have developed the industry’s first testing standards. Savage employs SC Labs to test all products their content.

About Chris Wheeler
In 2014 Chris owned a vape shop, OC Vapor Chamber, with his business partner Matt Winters. With an entrepreneurial spirit pushing him forward, Chris transitioned from mixologist to manufacturer and distribution in 2015 when Savage Enterprises was conceived. Although he started his business in a small 5 by 10 vape shop, Wheeler now manages a 20,000 square feet enterprise with a focus on quality control, marketing, customers, margins, and distribution.

Our 51st anniversary sale reflects a range of styles and art movements that dominated American and European tastes in the 19th and 20th centuries, and continue to inform our visual cultural experience”

— Bruce Wood

FRANKLIN, MA, UNITED STATES, March 25, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — An exclusive selection of antique and modern paintings and drawings, to include a rare figural oil painting by the renowned American artist James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903), titled Peasant Woman (1880), will be offered in a 51st Anniversary Art Auction planned for Thursday, April 4th, by Woodshed Art Auctions, starting at 5:30 pm Eastern time.

The auction commemorates Woodshed Art Auctions’ 51st year in business (Woodshed Gallery was founded in 1968). It will be held online and live in the 500 Gallery, at 475 Franklin Village Drive in Franklin. People can register and bid now, at www.woodshedartauctions.com. Previews will be held Wednesdays-thru-Fridays from 10-5, and Saturdays from 10-3, on up to auction day.

“Our 51st anniversary catalogue reflects a range of styles and art movements that dominated American and European tastes in the 19th and 20th centuries, and continue to inform our visual cultural experience,” said Bruce Wood, the owner of Woodshed Art Auctions. “Many of these works may enrich the imaginations of new generations as we head into our next demi-century.”

The figural oil painting by Whistler is the sale’s undisputed headliner but also featured will be a wide selection of paintings by, and attributed to, artists such as Andy Warhol, Philip Guston, Cy Twombly, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Franz Kline, Mark Rothko, Stuart Davis, Man Ray, Serge Poliakoff, Miguel Covarrubias and even Dr. Seuss. Phone and absentee bids will be accepted.

Whistler’s Peasant Woman is unsigned, but comes with impeccable provenance. The piece was gifted to a Mr. Ritter, an acquaintance of Whistler’s in Venice, by the artist in 1880. Ritter sold it to Robert Day Andrews around 1892 and Day then donated it to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. It was later deaccessioned by the museum and acquired by the current owners in 1994.

What makes the piece so attractive to collectors (aside from the fact that any original work by Whistler is bound to attract attention) is that it was painted in Venice, during a time when the vast majority of the artist’s work consisted of etchings and pastel and chalk drawings. This was by necessity, as Whistler was nearly destitute. An oil painting by him from the era is very rare.

After the publication of John Riskin’s acclaimed book, Stones of Venice, many notable artists – to include Whistler – flocked to the Italian city to capture the splendor of which Ruskin wrote. But Whistler eschewed the city’s Gothic architecture that his contemporaries captured on canvas in favor of the city’s poverty-stricken areas, which he referred to as “the Venice of Venetians.”

Many of Whistler’s subjects were women at work – almost always placed within their familiar, local environment, engaged in mundane activities like doing the wash or stringing beads. He sought to depict the true aesthetic nature of the city (and in doing so he gained many pupils). Portrait of a Girl is a fine representation of this time. It’s estimated to bring $200,000-$300,000.

Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987) will make multiple appearances in the auction. Works attributed to the Pop Art icon will include a crayon sketch on thin tan paper of Chinese leader Chairman Mao (1975), signed and dated under the unframed image (est. $80,000-$120,000); and a mixed media painting, Siberian Tiger (1983), verso signed and framed (est. $25,000-$35,000).

Another painting with the potential to soar to six figures is the oil on canvas attributed to New York School artist Philip Guston (American, 1912-1980), titled Smoking Head with Plant, signed lower right (est. $80,000-$100,000). Also, an oil on illustration board attributed to Stuart Davis (American, 1892-1964), titled Champion, artist signed and framed, should hit $20,000-$30,000.

A 1958 Color Field Painting by Mark Rothko (1903-1970), an American artist of Russian Jewish descent, housed in a frame measuring 41 ½ inches by 53 ½ inches, should command $60,000-$80,000. Also, an acrylic and ink on canvas attributed to Cy Twombly (American, 1928-2011), titled West Germany, signed and dated (’89) and in a frame, should hammer for $8,000-$12,000.

An acrylic on canvas attributed to Jean-Michel Basquiat (American, 1960-1988), titled Beast, with the artist’s trademark crown signature verso and in a 33 inch by 48 ½ inch frame, has an estimate of $20,000-$30,000; while an oil on two-ply illustration board attributed to Miguel Covarrubias (Mexican, 1904-1957), titled Jazz Scene, is expected to realize $30,000-$35,000.

Two abstract compositions are certain to attract keen bidder interest. One is done in the manner of the Russian-French artist Serge Poliakoff (1900-1969) and is artist signed and in a 15 ¾ inch by 19 ¾ inch frame (est. $8,000-$12,000). The other is attributed to Franz Kline (American, 1910-1962) and is also signed and framed (est. $6,000-$8,000). Both are oil on canvas works.

A whimsical mixed media on paper attributed to Theodor Seuss Geisel (also known as American artist Dr. Seuss, 1904-1991), titled A Plethora of Fish, signed bottom right and unframed, carries an estimate of $10,000-$12,000. Also, a black ink on paper drawing attributed to Man Ray (American, 1890-1976), titled Surreal Woman/Hand (1917), signed, should make $3,000-$5,000.

It’s an honor to handle the estate of George White. As a longtime associate and fellow tradesman, it is interesting to see the personal tastes of an antique dealer.”

— Kevin Bruneau

CRANSTON, RI, UNITED STATES, March 25, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — A fine Chinese archaic bronze Gui ritual food vessel dating to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), or earlier, one of nearly 150 lots from the collection of George White, the longtime antique dealer and collector (and owner of Gem Furniture) out of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, is an expected headliner in Bruneau & Co. Auctioneers’ next sale planned for April 6th.

The 428-lot, Saturday sale – officially titled an Estate Antiques & Fine Art Auction – will be held online as well as in the spacious Bruneau & Co. Auctioneers gallery located at 63 Fourth Avenue in Cranston, beginning at 12 noon Eastern time. Phone and absentee bids will also be accepted. A 150-lot, live-only pre-sale (no internet bidding), starting at 10 am, will precede the main event.

The bronze Chinese vessel, a centerpiece of the White collection, is finely cast Gui form with figural mythical beast handles and decorated with raised archaic geometric forms between taotie bands on a stepped foot. The surface bears a beautiful natural verdigris to the patination and the underside exhibits a copper-orange hue. The 5 ½ inch tall vessel should realize $3,000-$5,000.

“It’s an honor to handle the estate of George White. As a longtime associate and fellow tradesman, it is interesting to see the personal tastes of an antique dealer,” said Bruneau & Co. president and auctioneer Kevin Bruneau. “His Gui vessel should attract a good bit of attention.”

Travis Landry, a Bruneau & Co. specialist and auctioneer, added, “The decorative arts in this auction are to die for, from contemporary art to early 20th century design there is an example for it. My two picks for the sale are the Ernst Steger bronze torso and Sol LeWitt glass tumblers.”

The bronze sculpture of a nude female torso by German artist Ernst Seger (1868-1939) carries an estimate of $2,000-$3,000. It is a finely cast work, executed in the Art Nouveau style. The 16-inch-tall sculpture is set on a 19 ½-inch-tall base. The back is signed with an “ES” monogram and is dated “1924”. Seger worked in the same studio of sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840-1917).

The set of four hand-blown glass tumblers by Sol LeWitt (Conn./N.Y., 1928-2007) is edition #212 of 250, produced for the Whitney Museum in New York. The set appears to be unused. Each glass stands 4 ¾ inches tall and is signed and dated “Sol LeWitt” underneath one glass and numbered “212/250” under another. The glasses, in good condition, should reach $1,000-$2,000.

A Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain fish bowl, produced in the 19th century or earlier, is expected to hit $2,000-$3,000. The bowl is finely decorated, with an incised and textured band of goldfish swimming amongst lily pads and lotus flowers, finished in a subtle celadon green glaze. Bearing a red six-character mark along the underside of the rim, the bowl has a diameter of 15 ¾ inches.

An antique Persian Bidjar room-size carpet rug, handwoven from fine wool around 1900 and measuring in impressive 14 feet 10 inches by 11 feet 3 inches, is estimated at $1,500-$2,500. The rug has a central navy-blue diamond medallion with intricate floral designs with each end having a matching tassel surrounded by an open red field, with corner decoration and colorful borders.

A circa 1800 Newport, Rhode Island Pembroke table attributed to John Townsend (1733-1809), made from mahogany and a beautiful period piece, should garner $1,000-$2,000. The table has a single board top with two leaves, and finger molded edge over one drawer with a faux drawer back with original brass hardware. It measures 32 inches long, 21 inches wide, 28 ¾ inches tall.

An enamel on board naïve primitive landscape painting by the renowned folk artist Howard Finster (Ga./Ala., 1916-2001), titled Inside Peshaw Mountain in Visions of Other Worlds, has an estimate of $1,000-$2,000. The signed and dated (“Howard Finster Sept.-16-1990”) on verso work depicts a horde of people in prayer on a mountain. Included is a copy of the book Howard Finster, Man of Visions, by J.F. Turner. The painting measures 10 inches tall by 10 inches wide.

A 19th century Chinese famille verte (porcelain showing a green enamel overglaze over blues, purples, yellows and iron red) center bowl, 16 ¼ inches in diameter and 5 ¼ inches tall, is expected to hit $800-$1,200. The enameled interior is decorated with a female immortal holding a child and riding a Qilin, encircled by a landscape with men and women entertaining a deity.

Doors will open on auction day right at 8 am Eastern time. Verasity’s VRA token has a successful first week of trading on cryptocurrency exchanges due to it's business strategy and how it fills a huge hole in the market

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, March 22, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — There are millions of publishers competing with YouTube and Facebook for views. Since most can’t compete, they add the YouTube player on their site and hope for the best. The best is not much. YouTube and Facebook provide a pittance of revenue in exchange for those views and therefore publishers are dying like flies.

Simply building a video sharing platform is not a solution because no matter how good the platform, who is going to bother to move off YouTube to watch a bit of content when they have a whole world of content on YouTube. Do any kids under 18 watch anything other than YouTube? Only their favorites like Walking Dead and Game of Thrones if they can’t torrent it.

What is a publisher to do in a face off against these monopolies?

Reward users to watch content they already like on the publisher site. Once a publisher can control its own content and views, its revenues and engagement increase 4x. (IAB stats) Salvation for publishers is via rewarded content. But the problem with rewarded content today is that rewards are all over the place and not in one place. Some publishers reward in newspapers, others for contests, points and digital tokens. Viewers rarely know what publishers are rewarding and where.

How did we solve this problem?

Verasity provides the tools for publishers to take on YouTube and Facebook. The VeraWallet is built into the video player (go to: verawallet.tv) and can provide any kind or rewards as long as the default reward is VRA. Viewers can then find all their loyalty programs, points, redemptions in one place in their video player which they open every day to watch videos.

Is this solution unique?

It is patent pending and unique and as far as we know there are no platforms providing a similar technology and solution.

How does this help VRA?

Publishers buy VRA at market price to reward users to watch content, subscribe at a discount, and drive any number of actions. The purchase of VRA by publishers drives the economy and increases the pool of VRA users.

VRA Ecosystem

Payment, loyalty and rewards enable transactions between publishers, content owners, brands, advertisers and viewers. They interact directly with one another and all transactions are powered by VRA so there is no need for intermediaries such as YouTube or Facebook.

How does it work?

Viewers watch videos and ads on a website using Verasity technology and are rewarded with VRA. They are also rewarded more VRA for referring more users.

Publishers buy VRA to reward users and build valuable audiences which they monetize through ads, ecommerce or subscriptions.

To reach and engage potential customers viewing videos, advertisers buy VRA to reward viewers watching their ads. This releases the true value of each view.

Users can stake their VRA and receive daily rewards for doing so. The VRA Staking program incentivizes the economy to hold VRA. For full information about VRA staking, read our post here.

Verasity targets a wide range of publishers and users who will be implementing an easy conversion method to allow users to buy and exchange their VRA.

How does Verasity disseminate its Video Player technology to millions of publishers?

When you watch your favorite content on a website, it is likely that it will be powered by one of the 10 video player platforms that dominate video streaming. These include Vimeo, JW Player, Brightcove, Video.js, Kaltura and others. Most of these platforms are business to business and therefore you may not have heard of them, but the largest broadcasters in the world like Discovery, Eurosport, Fox, Sky, BBC, Viacom, Lamborghini (yes, the Lambo site) utilize third party video platforms to power the video streaming of the content you love to watch.

By Verasity integrating its technology module into all these video player platforms, Verasity rewarded video will be ubiquitous and available to every publisher which means potentially billions of viewers can be rewarded in VRA

A key goal for Verasity in 2019 is getting video publishers onboard. To facilitate this, we are developing integrations with many industry-leading tools like Vimeo, JW Player, Brightcove and others to allow publishers to quickly and easily start using Verasity technology and therefore increase demand for VRA. By not interrupting the current work flow of publishers, we have made it simple for any publisher to provide its viewers with VRA rewarded video. Our unique player technology is already available to 280,000 video publishers with 240 million users and 50 billion monthly views.

An example of a high profile publisher using Verasity Technology to power it’s online video delivery and rewarded video, check out Asia Pop 40’s press release about our partnership with them:

Branding

The Verasity video player ,VeraWallet and future Verasity products will be branded ‘Powered by Verasity’ so that viewers will see that the technology is Verasity. Further by rewarding viewers with VRA and providing referrals, VRA and Verasity as a name will be disseminated throughout the online video world. VRA will be synonymous with rewarded video!
