What is the National Youth Soccer Program and How Can You Get Involved? Coach Bryan Nazor Weighs In

Bryan Nazor

Youth Soccer Coach Bryan Nazor Shares Experience With National Youth Soccer Program

CHESTNUT RIDGE, NEW YORK, USA, May 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The National Youth Soccer Program (U.S. Club Soccer), exists to “transform the lives of America’s youth through the game of soccer.” For many people, including Bryan Nazor, a resident of Chestnut Ridge, New York, working with this youth soccer program has been inspiring and fulfilling.

U.S. Youth Soccer is a non-profit organization that provides a path for young people who want to break into playing soccer. The program teaches core values, like respect, integrity, teamwork and excellent, which Bryan Nazor said is an important component and allows the coaches to act as mentors in addition to teaching the game of soccer.

The organization was founded in 1974 and today has more than 3,000,000 players between ages 5 and 19. Most of the 300,000 coaches in the organization are volunteers like Bryan Nazor. These coaches spend their time educating and improving the lives of young soccer players in their community.

“Being a youth soccer coach has been more rewarding than I could have imagined,” said Bryan Nazor. “I get to work with motivated, talented kids and give back to my community in a tangible way.”

Many resources are provided to coaches from U.S. Youth Soccer, so those who are first-time coaches can be equipped with the tools they need. These resources include lesson plans, rules of the game, video clips, articles on coaching and even workshops and presentations to train coaches.

“The lesson plans were valuable to me in learning how to structure a soccer practice,” said Bryan Nazor. “At first it can seem intimidating, but there are lesson plans for all ages so you can teach them the skills they need, whether they are 6 years old or 16.”

Bryan Nazor said it was helpful to have a guide of listening to and communicating with players provided to him. Even those who are fans of professional soccer and have been watching or playing for years may not understand how to communicate effectively with players, which is one of the key components of being a good coach, Bryan Nazor said. “One of the best things I learned was to avoid the common pitfalls of communication in coaching, including avoiding bias and hot words.”

The organization hosts numerous youth soccer programs for every level and interest, including the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series, U.S. Youth Soccer National League, U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, Soccer Across America, Soccer Shots and more. In Celebration of the Importance of Fathers the Way to Happiness Center Hosts a Father’s Day Celebration

When fathers are involved, their children learn more, perform better in school and exhibit healthier behavior.”

— U.S. Department of Education

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, US, May 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Saturday June 15th, The Way to Happiness (TWTH) Association Tampa Bay will be holding a Father’s Day Celebration at their downtown Clearwater headquarters. Starting at 4:00 pm, children and their fathers will enjoy activities such as: the dad’s watermelon eating contest, water balloon challenge; and fun activities for the entire family.

The importance of fathers is explored at the National Center for Fathering’s website, Fathers.com. The Extent of Fatherlessness cites the situation, “More than 20 million children live in a home without the physical presence of a father. Millions more have dads who are physically present, but emotionally absent. If it were classified as a disease, fatherlessness would be an epidemic worthy of attention as a national emergency.”[1] On the flip side, the same website cites a study by the U.S. Department of Education, “When fathers are involved, their children learn more, perform better in school and exhibit healthier behavior. Even when fathers do not share a home with their children, their active involvement can have a lasting and positive impact.[2]

The Way to Happiness Association of Tampa Bay not only organizes events for families but conducts seminars in which all members of the family can learn from the principles in The Way to Happiness, the book by L. Ron Hubbard on which the association bases its activities.

“An atmosphere where families can flourish is very important to us”, said Tanja Cranton, Executive Director of the Way to Happiness Association of Tampa Bay. “We provide a safe place for families to unite and allow children and parents to work and learn together building a strong family foundation.”

At the Father’s Day event, families will be introduced to The Way to Happiness book, where L. Ron Hubbard wrote: “A child factually does not do well without love. Most children have an abundance of it to return.”

The Way to Happiness and its center is one of nine humanitarian outreach programs sponsored by the Church of Scientology (http://www.scientology.tv). Open daily from 10am – 10pm. If you would like to tour or attend complimentary workshops, please call (727) 467-6961

The Way to Happiness:

The Way to Happiness book was written by L. Ron Hubbard in 1981 as a nonreligious, common-sense guide to better living. Its purpose is to help arrest moral decline in society and restore integrity and trust to humankind. It is available in 112 languages, with some 115 million copies distributed in 186 nations. The campaign to distribute the book has been embraced by more than 257,000 groups and individuals. Millions around the world have received the materials free of charge thanks to the continued sponsorship of the Church of Scientology. The Way to Happiness holds the Guinness World Record as the single most-translated nonreligious book.

Gary DeWaard Spends Free Time Supporting the Funky Monkey Tumbling and Gymnastics Club

Gary DeWaard

Gary DeWaard

FOREST CITY, IOWA, USA, May 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Entrepreneur Gary DeWaard divides up his time between a handful of professional endeavors, passion projects in the entertainment industry, and supporting his family’s gym. Assisting his wife with her tumbling and gymnastics club, DeWaard serves many extracurricular roles to help Funky Monkey Tumbling and Gymnastics succeed.

Gary DeWaard is an experienced entrepreneur with more than ten years of experience in sales and marketing. In his career, he has helped early companies find a footing in their industries and helped late stage companies develop successful marketing plans and campaigns. As a fan of the entertainment industry, Gary DeWaard spends a lot of his free time dedicated to passion projects such as producing music videos and short films. However, he’s careful to dedicate much of his time to his family and supporting his wife’s Funky Monkey Tumbling and Gymnastics club.

Located in Forest City, Iowa, the Funky Monkey Tumbling and Gymnastics club brings together kids in the community to improve their performance and create an inviting, safe place to have fun. In all, the facility offers tumbling and gymnastics classes, private lessons from qualified trainers, cheer tumbling classes, skill clinics, movie nights, an open gym and more.

“I’m very proud of what my wife has been able to put together in the Funky Monkey Tumbling and Gymnastics club,” says Gary DeWaard. “It’s a pretty extensive club with lots of activities for kids and their families to participate in.”

Through the club, Gary DeWaard and his wife are able to support their local community and create lasting memories with families from across the city. Their four kids are regular attendees and participants in the club’s various activities, and Gary spends a lot of time supporting them.

“I am the volunteer that drives the kids to their meets,” says Gary DeWaard. “I also setup any equipment at these events, serve as an extra pair of hands, and always cheer on the kids.”

The activities keep him busy as they take place frequently throughout each month. Parents and families rent out the space for their own parties and events, and the open gym is available nearly every night. In addition, the Funky Monkey Tumbling and Gymnastics club hosts regular movie nights which cater to boys and girls in Kindergarten and up. During movie nights, kids get to play around in the gym, meet new and old friends, and watch a movie being projected onto the large gymnasium wall. Gary DeWaard and his wife advise families to bring pillows and blankets to make themselves more comfortable during the screening, but provide snacks, popcorn, and water to the kids and their families.

“We have a great time at the Funky Monkey and hope that our efforts give the kids in our communities and their families something to look forward to regularly,” says Gary DeWaard.

Douglas Greenberg reveals continued passion for the outdoors

Douglas Greenberg

From skiing and hiking to sailing and scuba diving, former Morgan Stanley broker Douglas Greenberg reflects on his lifelong passion for the outdoors.

PORTLAND, OREGON, USA, May 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — An advanced skier and scuba diver who's also experienced in sailing and a wide variety of other outdoor pursuits and activities, former Morgan Stanley broker Douglas Greenberg has traveled the globe in order to indulge in his numerous pastimes and other passions. Many of these, he reveals, reflect a lifelong love of the outdoors for the experienced asset allocation and alternative investment specialist as he discusses the topic in more detail.

Contributing toward a worldwide travel and tourism sector today worth an estimated $7.5 trillion annually, global traveler, sports fan, and father of two Douglas Greenberg's next planned trip is to north-easternmost Africa. Here, he and his sons will head to Tanzania to scale the infamous Mount Kilimanjaro. At close to 6,000 meters tall, Mount Kilimanjaro's most impressive peak soars above Africa's second-highest mountain, Mount Kenya, by several hundred meters. The family's trip to Africa is scheduled for June 2019.

"I've traveled all over the world," reveals Greenberg, "which has allowed me to indulge in many of my favorite activities, and for that, I'm incredibly grateful."

Born in Texas before moving to Tustin in Southern California for high school, Greenberg is now a resident of Lake Oswego, Oregon. Greenberg's other recent travels have taken him and his family to Canada, Europe, and Asia. The Dallas native has previously journeyed across much of the globe, with his love of travel developing from a young age. His other interests, he says, include watching live sports, visiting vineyards, and wine tasting.

A particular fan of professional basketball, the father of two is also an avid volunteer, supporting numerous nonprofit organizations, charities, and other good causes. A dog lover, Greenberg also owns a curly-coated retriever named Molly.

"When I'm at home and not traveling, I particularly enjoy getting outdoors with my wonderful dog, Molly, and taking in the beautiful local scenery here in Lake Oswego, Oregon," adds the seasoned jet-setter, wrapping up.

Texas-born father of two Douglas Greenberg is a resident of Lake Oswego, Oregon, located 10 miles south of Portland. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business Executive Education programs and a former Morgan Stanley Executive Director, Wealth Advisor, and Senior Portfolio Manager, Greenberg is known for his problem-solving skills, as well as specializing in alternative investments and asset allocation. A fan of professional soccer and basketball, Greenberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and, in his spare time, enjoys hiking, sailing, and wine tasting in addition to travel, skiing, and scuba diving.
